DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER

The role of the Disability Support Worker is to work with participants under the NDIS. You will work closely with multiple clients, developing rapport and forming a lasting, meaningful professional relationship with them. You will work within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals, increase their independence and participation within the community. Key duties include:

  • Assistance with ADL’s such as toileting, showering, dressing, cooking and cleaning.
  • Providing individual support to clients with psychosocial requirements.
  • Assisting clients with social outings, shopping trips and appointments.
  • Liaising with the families and representatives as required.
  • Promoting positive behavior’s, learning experiences and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in individual support, community services, disability services or similar
  • National police certificate 
  • Current driving license 
  • Current first aid HLTAID003
